'Advance MicroBonds'™ hair extensions typically last for up to three months, and even longer with the correct care and maintenance. Here are some useful tips for keeping your hair looking healthy and beautiful.
Shampooing
Use a shampoo and conditioner that is suitable for use on coloured / chemically treated hair
Do not massage you hair
Apply conditioner from below Microbonds and start to comb from the ends up towards the roots
Rinse hair extensions well and allow to dry naturally
After washing, try to leave conditioner or maintenance spray in your hair extensions to add moisture
Styling
Brush or comb your hair extensions through to style them
Finish by using medium heat ceramic straightening tongs or blow dry with a hand dryer and a round, bristle brush
Sleep
Before going to bed, tie your hair extensions back using a soft bobble, or braid your hair into one large loose braid at the back of your neck
Avoiding using elasticised hair ties as they can pull on your hair and loosen your extensions
Upon waking, undo the braid and comb through from ends to roots
Sauna
Braid your hair into one large loose braid at the back of your neck
Do not cover your hair with a towel as this will compress your hair extensions
Loosen the braid and comb through your hair extensions before shampooing and conditioning
Swimming
Do not wear a swim hat, as water can penetrate beneath the hat and cause tangles
Braid your hair in one braid at the nape of the neck
When swimming, try to keep your head above water
Never swim under water. And absolutely no diving!
Loosen the braid and comb through your hair extensions before shampooing and conditioning
Sun Bathing
Tie your hair into a loose braid behind your neck
After sunbathing, do not undo the braid until your hair cools down
After your hair has cooled, undo the braid, comb through, shampoo and condition your hair extensions
